Stephen C. Ford, CEO

Steve was a founder of Fitzgerald, Stevens & Ford, (FS&F) in 1981 and has been CEO since 1987. Steve developed FS&F's practices in Leadership Assessment and Development, Executive Coaching, Career Management, and Due Diligence. He was a founding partner of OI Partners, Inc. (OI) in 1987. From 1992 to 1995, Steve served as CEO of OI during which time the organization tripled in size and enhanced its reputation as the innovator in the career transition field. He led OI through the planning and implementation of a major restructuring to facilitate further growth; currently, OI has about 200 offices in 25 countries. He developed OI's North American Chief Officer Transition Program.

Steve has worked in leadership development, career management, and transition coaching for over 25 years. Between 1979 and 1984 he started two other human resource services firms: Carpenter Consultants, a placement agency, and Staff Management, an employee leasing firm. Previously, Steve worked for ten years with two employment agencies, including Rogers & Sands from 1971 to 1979.

Steve has an MBA from Northeastern University and a BA from Denison University. He is certified by Management Resource Group for their Strategic Leadership Development and Personal Development instruments. He holds the Certificate of Director Education from the Corporate Directors Institute at the National Association of Corporate Directors.

He is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors, Society of Human Resource Management, Human Resource Leadership Forum, Northeast Human Resources Association, Association for Corporate Growth, and the Chief Executive Club of Boston. Steve is currently Chair of the Directors Registry, and was Chair of the Boston Breakfast Series for two years for NACD's New England Chapter.

Steve is a Director of OI Partners, Inc. and the New England Chapter of the National Association of Corporate Directors.

Patricia Pahucki, Chief Financial and Administrative Officer

Pat has managed client services, quality control, consultant assignments, finance and accounting, and administration since 1990. She tracks the status of assessment and coaching projects and coordinates consultants on joint projects. Pat is the first contact for clients and client reporting.

Pat has also been active in the growth of OI Partners. As the Senior Financial Consultant for transition participants, she assists participants with the analysis of financial information to assess potential employer's financial viability, prepare for interviews, and build business plans.

As a Bank Boston Vice President in commercial lending and relationship marketing for over twenty years, Pat assisted the management of middle market and smaller businesses to grow successfully. In this role, she evaluated and coached management on strategy and development.

She has an MBA from Northeastern University and a BA from Boston University. Pat completed the National Commercial Credit and the Bank Boston Credit Training programs. Pat is currently a member of OI Partners' Finance Committee.

Joseph J. Maressa, Vice President

Joe provides Leadership Development, Coaching, and Assessment for individuals and teams. Over the last twenty years, he has worked with individuals from a broad range of industries including technology, life sciences, research centers, and consulting. His experience also includes providing extensive transition coaching to a broad range of professionals. Before joining Fitzgerald, Stevens & Ford, he was the President of Quantum Development, a firm that specialized in management development and coaching. Prior to that he served at Polaroid Corporation in a variety of roles including: Corporate Organizational Development Consultant, Training Manager, and Senior Human Resources Consultant. His work supported a range of organizations including Corporate New Ventures, Research, Engineering and Manufacturing. Joe's broad experience also includes assignments in technical sales for Allied Chemical and the Foxboro Company as well as management of process and product development laboratories for Scientific Film Products.

He has a BS ChE, an MBA from Northeastern University, and a Masters in Liberal Studies from Boston University. He studied methodologies for improving individual effectiveness and organizational performance with Dr. Chris Argyris, a pioneer in the field and a long time faculty member of both Harvard University's Graduate Schools of Business and Education. Joe is certified by Management Resource Group for their Strategic Leadership Development and Personal Development instruments.

He is a member of the Organizational Development Learning Group, the Massachusetts Medical Device Group, Human Resources Leadership Forum (HRLF), and Northeast Human Resources Association (NEHRA). He has been a member of the NEHRA's Program Committee for their annual Professional Development Conference and an HRLF co-chair committee member. In 2005, he received NEHRA's "Volunteer of the Year" award for his work supporting its members.

Dr. Richard T. Darveau, Senior Assessment Consultant

Dick has worked in assessment, counseling, and coaching for 25 years. Recently, he has worked extensively with executives and professionals understand their strengths and capabilities through assessment and consulting with FS&F and Jandl Associates. In addition, he has served in several consulting and advisory capacities for the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health where he began his career as a psychologist. Dick also helped senior administrative positions at Atlanticare Corporation for over a dozen years.

Dick received his Doctorate and Masters in Counseling Psychology, and his BA in English and Sociology all from Boston College.

He is certified by Management Resource Group for their Strategic Leadership Development and Personal Development instruments. He has extensive training and experience in personality and vocational testing, individual and group counseling, and in organizational communication. His research interests played a key role in the establishment of a research project with the Boston College Center on Work and Family, examining the impact of job loss on the family unit and the implications for counseling interventions. He was instrumental in establishing the Boston Chapter of the Association of Career Professionals (formerly IACMP).

Dr. Joanne Hadlock, Senior Assessment Consultant and Coach

Joanne is a Counseling Psychologist, coach, and facilitator with over 25 years experience working with individuals and groups in executive and professional assessment, coaching, and development. Joanne provides performance consulting and assessment for a broad range of clients in diverse industries and work environments, and assists individuals in professional, career, and life transitions.

Joanne has provided national consultation on the design and utilization of career assessment tools and has developed and directed comprehensive career development centers at several academic institutions. After receiving her Doctorate in psychology from Northeastern University, she directed the clinical training program at Northeastern University's Center for Career and Personal Development. Joanne has also served as an adjunct faculty at Northeastern University, teaching graduate courses in career and adult development. While at Northeastern, she designed and facilitated popular professional training programs for staff and administrators focused on developing enhanced communication skills, resolving conflict, and managing stress.

She received her Doctorate in Leadership and Administration from Northeastern University; her MEd in counseling from the University of Massachusetts; and an MA in History from the University of Illinois. She holds her BA in History from St. Joseph's College in New York. She received professional coach training through the Mentor Coach Program. She is certified by Management Resource Group for their Strategic Leadership Development and Personal Development instruments. She has expertise in the most relevant inventories used to assess personal and workplace dynamics. She is a member of the International Coach Federation (ICF), National Career Development Association (NCDA), and the Center for Applied Psychological Type (CAPT).
